Bruker TITAN

Bruker TITAN

Power over the elements – wherever the work takes you.

The Bruker TITAN 380 is a next-generation handheld XRF analyser built for rapid, reliable elemental analysis in demanding field and industrial environments.

Combining a powerful 5 W X-ray source, graphene-window detector and count rates of up to 800,000 cps, the TITAN 380 provides immediate elemental information from magnesium to uranium.

At only 1.7 kg with its battery, it is comfortable to operate throughout long shifts. Its intuitive touchscreen, dual cameras and selectable measurement spots make accurate analysis and sample documentation straightforward.

Main Features

  • 5 W SharpBeam™ X-ray source
  • Count rates up to 800,000 cps
  • 20 mm² graphene-window Silicon Drift Detector
  • Patented TITAN DetectorShield™
  • IP64 dust and splash resistance
  • Small and large selectable measurement spots
  • View and aiming cameras

TITAN Detector Shield

Protection without compromising performance

The patented TITAN DetectorShield™ protects the detector against accidental punctures while analysis is underway.

This is particularly valuable when measuring sharp, rough or irregular materials such as drill samples, wire, swarf and scrap metal. DetectorShield reduces the risk of costly detector repairs and unplanned instrument downtime without sacrificing measurement speed or analytical performance. When a detector is punctured it can be a costly repair that can range anywhere from ~$7,000 – ~$10,000 (not including the potential down time resulting from a puncture).

Ready for all Industries

The TITAN 380 GeoChemistry application was developed using 97 geological reference materials and includes dedicated three-phase methods for oxide and sulfide samples.

It provides rapid elemental information for:

  • soil and sediment screening
  • drill chips and drill core
  • lithological logging
  • geochemical anomaly identification
  • mineralisation and alteration trends
  • exploration targeting
  • grade-control screening
  • ore and process monitoring

Results are available immediately, helping geologists adapt sampling and exploration programs while samples are still in front of them.

Ready for more than geochemistry

The TITAN 380 also supports applications across alloy identification, manufacturing, scrap-metal sorting, precious metals, environmental screening, restricted materials, oil and gas, research and education.

A range of matrix-matched calibrations is available. Portable Spectral Services can also assist with application selection, method development, training and customised calibrations.

Other industries with applications suitable for portable XRF include foreign body investigation, academics, arts, archaeology and conservation, environmental, oil and gas, agriculture, restricted materials and domestic settings.
